It was my ex-colleague's son 1 yr old birthday. She invited me to be the photographer of the party she organized for her son.
It was not long after I bought my camera, so I was kinda pressure as it's not easy to take kids portrait. Furthermore the event is at night time and it's indoor. Sufficient lighting is very important to get nice picture as I do not own any external flash yet. I don't like to use the build in flash as it make the picture fake.
It's very difficult to snap a children picture as either they are moving or walking here and there. It's not easy to get them to sit / stand there and let me take a shot.
As a result, I'll be getting a clear image on their face but their hand / leg is blurred or a blurred face. *Sweat*
#1. Birthday boy. Picture is slightly underexposed. #2. Daughter of my ex-collegue's friend. The hand is blur. #3. Birthday boy looking at someone.
#4. Birthday boy , "Jie Jie, I wanna eat curry puff ". Drooling already.
#5. Eyes were locked at the curry puff but but didn't get to eat even a mouthful. Drooling... drooling...#6. Birthday boy's daddy. An artistic shot. This picture was taken in between window glass. #7. Walking... Baby please don't fall.. #8. Playing with a toy. #9. Looking at me?
Sunday is a lazy day... Morning session is food hunting. Eat until stomach wanna explode... hahaha...
In the evening, we went to practice our photography skills. We went to the fishing village beside the Malay hawker center (opposite Seagate).
#1. Trying to play around with the exposure (EV) setting. This can make the cloud appear to be more 3D and sky more bluish. Does the cloud appear more real to you?
#2. Try to shot in between some leaves.
#3. Trying to shot some artistic picture. Just focus at the leaves and have a blurred background. #4. Another artistic shot.
#5. Yet another 'trying to be' artistic shot. But can't get the feeling that I want.
Will have to practice more to shot nice nice pics :-)
These flowers shots were taken at the garden in my apartment. Took lots of them, but can't get what I want. T_T
More to practice.
#1. I feel that the background is too bright. What do you think? #2. Some bright spots at the back steal the attention away from the flower?
Pantai Keracut is located at end of the world. There are 2 ways to get there: hiking or by boat.
